With a mere three days to go until Election Day, recent polls show Hillary Clinton with only a minor lead over Donald Trump. A Fox News poll released Friday put Clinton two points ahead of Trump, while the latest ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll released the same day gave her a four-point advantage. Both polls were conducted over almost the same period. According to the latter poll, support for Clinton has wavered over the past couple weeks, dropping from 49 percent to 40 percent in the wake of FBI director James Comey’s controversial letter to Congress. Support for Trump, on the other hand, has stayed mostly stable despite a series of setbacks in his campaign, staying between the range of 49 and 53 percent during the polling period.
