The Los Angeles arm of the British Academy of Film and Television Awards honored George Clooney, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Sir Ben Kingsley on Saturday for making an impact in Hollywood. “I rather famously don’t have children—that I know of—but I do have a family of writers, actors, and directors,” Clooney said when accepting the Britiannia excellence in film award. Cumberbatch’s 12 Years a Slave co-star Chiwetel Ejiofer paid tribute to the busy actor, who also appears in The Fifth Estate and August: Osage County this fall. A-listers Michael Caine, Steven Speilberg, Jake Gyllenhaal, Bruce Willis, meanwhile, and Robert Downey Jr. honored Kingsley in video clips, with Sigourney Weaver introducing him.
