CMT Music Awards 2010 Winners

Little Bit Country

Keith Urban also earns top honor.

Reigning queen of country music Carrie Underwood continued to rule at Wednesday night’s CMT Music Awards, earning two honors at the Nashville ceremony. The “Cowboy Casanova” crooner won the awards for Video of the Year and CMT Performance of the Year at show at the Bridgestone Arena. Other honors went to Lady Antebellum for Group Video of the Year, Keith Urban for Male Video of the Year, and Brooks & Dunn for Duo Video of the Year. Kid Rock hosted the evening’s festivities, which began with a surprise appearance from Hank Williams Jr., who rarely attends such events. A crew of other country stars from Trace Adkins to Martina McBride joined him on stage for a medley of “Cowboy,” “Bawitdaba,” and “Good Ol’ Boys.” Taylor Swift and Faith Hill were also in attendance, as was Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson doing his impersonation of Reba McEntire. The legend herself joined the comedian on stage in a matching green dress, prompting Thompson to joke, “Um, ma'am, I'm in the middle of a song here.”
