CNN to Host Tea Party Debate

During Republican presidential primaries.

Save the date: CNN and the Tea Party Express are teaming up to host a Tea Party presidential primary debate during Labor Day week in Tampa, Florida. According to a statement from CNN, the debate will focus on issues that the Tea Party has been “vocal in advocating,” such as cutting government spending and lowering taxes. CNN’s political director said the network is a good fit for the debate because “undecided voters turn to CNN to educate themselves during election cycles.”
