The co-chair of the Colorado Springs chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union resigned on Friday after he posted on Facebook that he would shoot Trump supporters before next year's election. Loring Wirbel told The Colorado Springs Gazette that the comment was meant to be taken as a joke, but he also said that he realized his post could be offensive. The ACLU of Colorado released a statement saying it does not support Wirbel's post.
