A large avalanche southeast of Denver was reportedly triggered by seven skiers on Star Mountain near Indepdence Pass. Two of the skiers died, and three others have been hospitalized with injuries that include a possible broken rib and collapsed lung The Colorado Avlanache Information Center had been warning of dangerous conditions after the region was hit with two weeks of heavy snow.
