The Shasta County District Attorney’s office in California said on Wednesday that it is considering a misdemeanor battery to a child charge against Shasta High School football coach Aaron Gingery for allegedly kicking a 16-year-old player in the groin. Gingery, 47, has been suspended by the school. Gingery allegedly kicked the player during practice, and the student has not sustained any serious injuries.
