New York state investigators have subpoenaed former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen as part of their criminal investigation into the Trump Foundation, the Associated Press reports. A spokesperson for Gov. Andrew Cuomo confirmed the subpoena to AP reporters. The subpoena comes a day after Cohen pleaded guilty in Manhattan federal court to eight criminal charges. Cohen also implicated the president in campaign-finance violations, which Trump has insisted are not a crime. Trump and Cohen did not respond to the AP’s requests for comment regarding the subpoena.
