Stephen Colbert dropped by CBS' Late Show on Tuesday, presumably to check out his new digs. Comedy Central's host of The Colbert Report ditched his conservative persona for the interview with this soon-to-be-predecessor, David Letterman. Appearing much more modest, Colbert told Letterman “I’m going to do whatever you have done. It seems to have gone pretty well, Dave.” He also revealed that he had been offered an internship on Letterman’s show in the 1980s, but turned it down because it was unpaid. “The next job I’m taking here, it pays right?” he joked.
