Coleman Divorced at Time of Death

Another tragedy for the late Gary Coleman came to light on Wednesday when his lawyer confirmed the Diff’rent Strokes star had been secretly divorced since August 2008. Though Shannon Price acted as the actor’s wife in front of emergency crews and hospital staff, “at the time of Gary’s death, they were not married,” the lawyer said. ETOnline exclusively revealed documents on Wednesday showing that the couple had divorced under the names John Doe and Jane Doe. "Gary wanted me to keep their divorce private," his former lawyer explained, "but now that it's been made public, I'm compelled to say it's all true." Price’s rep, however, added, "I wish I could clear that up... I'm still waiting to find out myself from Shannon."
