San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick will put his money where his mouth is, promising Tuesday to donate $100,000 per month for the next ten months. Kaepernick first promised to donate $1 million to community charities several weeks ago, after national controversy arose from his refusal to stand during the pre-game national anthem. Kaepernick emphasized that his silent protest was against police brutality and racial inequality, and said that he would donate the money to help people affected by those issues. According to the Sacramento Bee, the quarterback said he will set up a website to accompany his donations and for the public to track the money and how it is spent by each organization.
