A Baltimore statue honoring Confederate soldiers was discovered spray-painted with “Black Lives Matter” on Monday. The statue was erected in 1903 by the Maryland Daughters of the Confederacy and bears the phrase “To the soldiers and sailors of Maryland in the service of the Confederate States of America 1861-1863.” Another Confederate monument was vandalized at White Points Garden in Charleston over the weekend.
