Cop to Sandra Bland: ‘I’ll Light You Up’

Authorities on Tuesday released police video of Sandra Bland's traffic stop and arrest earlier this month before she died in jail. Bland, 28, was found hanging in a Texas jail cell three days after being arrested. The video shows Bland being stopped by a state trooper who asks her to put out her cigarette. Bland responds, “Why do I have to put out a cigarette when I’m in my own car?” The officer becomes irritated, orders Bland out of the car, and opens her car door. As the trooper tries to remove Bland from the car, Bland reaches for her cell phone (to try and tape what was happening, according to her lawyer) and the trooper pulls out a Taser and points it at her. At one point, he yells, "I'll light you up!"
