A Texas man who allegedly threatened to kill “all white police” in the D.C. area was arrested near the White House on Monday. The Secret Service said the suspect, identified as Dallas resident Michael Arega, was taken into custody without incident and not found to be carrying any weapons, authorities said. Police in Montgomery County, Maryland, had reportedly alerted the Secret Service to threats Arega had made, and he was found near the White House a short time later. He faces charges of making felony threats. Arega’s ex-wife was the one to tip police off, saying she was concerned about his mental state after seeing he’d written “troubling messages” on his Facebook page, CNN reported.
