According to an autopsy released Friday, Tamir Rice, the 12-year-old Cleveland boy shot dead by a police officer, died from a single shot to the abdomen. The bullet damaged a major vein and the boy’s intestines, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, which ruled the death a homicide. A surveillance video shows rookie officer Tim Loehmann, who thought the boy’s pellet gun was a real gun, shooting the boy within two seconds of pulling up in a police car. A grand jury will decide whether charges will be brought against Loehmann.
