The typically jovial Newark Mayor Cory Booker is downright peeved. He’s sick of this “false” debate over gun control, he told the hosts of ABC’s This Week on Sunday, calling it “a convenient trick to try to divide our country.” The Democrat, and likely Senate hopeful said, “most of us in America, including gun owners, agree on things that would stop the carnage.” Booker then went on to further the public’s image of the New Jersey politician as a real-life superhero by saying, “I don’t know if anybody here has seen someone shot. I have.” But he wasn’t done. “I don’t know if anybody here has had to put their hand in someone’s chest and stop the bleeding. I have.” Of course he has.
