Good news for Newark mayor Cory Booker: We'll all be calling him Senator Booker soon. On Wednesday night the Associated Press declared Booker as winner of the New Jersey special election for the Senate seat left behind by the late Senator Frank Lautenberg. Booker ran against Republican Steve Lonegan. Precinct votes are still being counted, but as of 9:45 p.m., Booker led with more than 55 percent of votes. Booker tweeted his thanks to voters, writing, "Thank you so much, New Jersey. I'm proud to be your senator-elect."
