After handing Bill Cosby his sentence for sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, Judge Steven O’Neill denied the disgraced comedian bail, sending him straight to prison. O’Neill on Tuesday afternoon said Cosby had no right to bail and could “quite possibly be a danger to the community.” The 81-year-old’s lawyers had argued that he should be placed under “home confinement” pending an appeal, the Associated Press reports. O’Neill reportedly said it is “time for justice” as he sentenced Cosby to three to 10 years in state prison for drugging and assaulting Constand in 2004. The judge also fined Cosby $25,000.
