Turkeys are averaging $1.09 per pound this year—28 percent higher than what they cost last year, Bloomberg reports. The USDA predicts that low turkey output will bring this year’s turkey consumption per capita down to 16.2 pounds—the lowest point since 1988—from 16.9 pounds in 2009.
