Could Crystal Bowersox Beat Lee Dewyze on American Idol?

Simon called her last performance "outstanding."

After Tuesday night’s performances on American Idol who has the advantage heading into the season finale on Wednesday night: Crystal Bowersox or Lee DeWyze? Hippie-chick Bowersox has been a favorite all season, but many have, so far, put their money on DeWyze to take home the prize. (Even judges Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell, who have both praised Bowersox, have submitted to a DeWyze victory.) But on Tuesday night, Bowersox proved that she won’t go down without a fight. Simon called her rendition of “Up to the Mountain” simply “outstanding.” And after the show, Idol pundits say she may actually stand a chance at taking home the prize tomorrow night. “I have no objection to people voting for Lee because they liked him all season,” wrote HitFix.com’s Daniel Fienberg. Crystal, however, “delivered one of her best performances at the end of her biggest night…I’m assuming that she wins.”
