Eight years after she left, Katie Couric is reportedly in talks with NBC to co-host the Today show—at least temporarily. Couric may fill in for Savannah Guthrie who will go on maternity leave this summer. Ironically, she got her start on Today in 1991 by filling in for an anchor who went on maternity leave. Couric left Today in 2006 to host CBS Evening News and later became a daytime talk-show host and Yahoo News "global anchor."
