Brazilian Supreme Court judge Gilmar Mendes reinstated suspended Brazilian Football Confederation President Ednaldo Rodrigues after his suspension a month ago, Agence France Presse reported. An earlier court decision had deemed electoral rules installed ahead of his election to the post to be invalid. Rodrigues, the group’s first black president, faced backlash over his team’s less-than-ideal performances.
