Harvey Weinstein was hospitalized this week yet again after contracting COVID and developing double pneumonia, a representative for the disgraced Hollywood mogul told NBC News Thursday. In addition to the maladies he recently contracted, Weinstein, 72, is also being treated for “conditions that he is still afflicted with on a daily basis such as diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, fluid on his heart and lungs, and various other conditions,” his prison consultant Craig Rothfeld told the network. He is currently being treated in the Bellevue Hospital prison ward in New York City. Weinstein was found guilty of rape in both New York and Los Angeles—though the New York conviction was overturned on appeal. He is set to be retried this fall and may even face additional charges, prosecutors said, because new accusers have since come forward to testify. He is still imprisoned on a 16-year bid for the Los Angeles offenses.
