Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has lost an appeal of his six-game suspension over allegations of domestic violence. A federal appeals court in New York said it could no longer block the suspension—for which Elliott had been granted injunctions in order to play in each game so far this season—but said it would hold a hearing on the matter. Elliott won’t be able to play in the Cowboys’ game on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons.
