OUT WITH A BANG

Crashes and Chaos at Tour de France

The first leg of the Tour de France was marred by chaos and confusion, and the racers' finish was anything but graceful. A team's bus got stuck under the banner at the finish line, causing organizers to move up the race's end by three kilometers leading cyclists in a mad dash for the new endpoint. One rider went down in the rush and then around 25 more followed. Marcel Kittel managed to fly past the melee and took first place. This was only the first of 21 stages; riders still have almost 2,000 miles to go. Good luck, guys!
