Real life sometimes comes pretty close to Snakes on a Plane: A plane crash that killed 20 people in Congo in August was caused by an escaped crocodile. One passenger was attempting to smuggle the animal in a gym bag when it escaped. The terrified passengers all rushed to the front of the plane as it was preparing to land, sending the plane off-balance and hurtling into a house. Only one passenger survived; he’s the one who told the story of the crocodile to authorities.
