Appearing Monday, via satellite, at the Center for Security Policy summit in Las Vegas, Nevada, GOP candidate Ted Cruz praised the group's founder, infamous anti-Islam conspiracy theorist Frank Gaffney, as a "patriot" who "loves this country" and is "clear-eyed about radical Islamic terrorism." Gaffney has most recently come into the spotlight after Donald Trump used his group's flawed polling data to support a ban on all Muslim immigrants to America. Republican candidates Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, and Rick Santorum are all set to attend the event.
