Dr. Felix Baez Sarria, a member of the 165-member medical team Cuba sent to fight Ebola in Sierra Leone, has been diagnosed with the disease, according to Cuban state media. The AP reports that Baez Sarria is being treated by British doctors in Africa, but will be transferred to a special unit in Geneva at the recommendation of the World Health Organization, state media said, citing the island nation’s ministry of public health. Additionally, the Financial Times cites India’s health ministry in a report that a 26-year-old Indian man who returned from Liberia this month after recovering from Ebola is being kept in isolation at Delhi’s airport and his semen samples have tested positive for the virus. Experts are concerned about India’s vulnerability to Ebola, given the thousands of people of Indian origin living in West Africa, and India’s poor hygiene.
