The Chicago Cubs beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-4 Tuesday night and will move on to the National League Championship Series to face either the Los Angeles Dodgers or New York Mets. The last time the Cubs reached the NLCS was in 2003 where they lost to the Florida Marlins. This is the first time they clinched a postseason series at Wrigley Field.
Meanwhile, the Dodgers forced a deciding Game 5 after defeating the Mets 3-1 in Game 4 of their National League Division Series on Tuesday night. At Dodger Stadium on Thursday, Game 2 winner Zack Greinke will try to help Los Angeles secure a spot in the NL Championship Series against the Cubs.
