Andrew Cuomo is seeking at least $30 billion in aid from the federal government, according to The New York Times. His inventory includes $3.5 billion to repair the region's bridges and commuter lines, $1.65 billion to rebuild homes and apartments, $1 billion to pay back local police and emergency personnel for working overtime, and several billion dollars in federal loans and grants for affected businesses.
