Cyber Monday sales were up 20 percent this year from 2011, with retailers saying online sales brought in a record $1.5 billion, according to Internet analytical firm comScore. Cyber Monday, the busiest Web shopping day of the year, began early this year, with Walmart beginning its online deals on Saturday. Early-bird shoppers certainly wanted to get the worm: Thanksgiving shopping increased 32 percent this year, and on Black Friday, the holiest shopping day of the year, e-commerce shopping topped $1 billion for the first time ever, up about 26 percent.
