Czech President Milos Zeman wants Donald Trump’s ex-wife to serve as U.S. ambassador to his country. “They could not send a better U.S. ambassador to Prague,” Zeman said in a phone conversation with Ivana Trump on Wednesday, according to a statement from his office. Ivana Trump had first voiced the suggestion last week in comments to the New York Post, saying she would pitch it to her ex-husband. The 67-year-old said it would make perfect sense, as the Czech Republic is “where I’m from and my language and everybody knows me.” Zeman also expressed support for Donald Trump during the presidential campaign, saying he was “very happy” after Trump’s surprise win. Zeman’s support for both President-elect Trump and Ivana Trump represents a sharp turn from his stance during the Obama administration, when he split with U.S. leaders on Russia and was never invited to the White House.
