For roughly 90 seconds on Oct. 3, the Daily Mail published a story reporting that Amanda Knox was found guilty in her appeal of murdering Meredith Kercher. The false report read: “Guilty: Amanda Knox looks stunned as appeal against murder conviction is rejected.” The Press Complaints Commission is going after the news source for taking a few too many creative liberties in its reporting, including details claiming Meredith Kercher’s family “remained expressionless, staring straight ahead, glancing over just once at the distraught Knox family”.
