‘Daily Show’s’ Trevor Noah Hammers Fox News’ Mueller Hypocrisy: You ‘Don’t Get to Say Shit!’

‘PUMP THE BRAKES’

‘If you got rid of all the conspiracy theorists, propagandists and liars, Fox News would just be a bunch of empty couches and a sexual-harassment settlement.’

Fox News’ biggest stars are accusing Democrats of pushing conspiracy theories about Robert Mueller after he gave President Trump a pass on collusion. The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah doesn’t think we should let them get away with that.

“Over at Trump TV, they all agree that this was a terrible, terrible thing,” Noah said of the investigation during his opening segment Tuesday night. “And they want revenge.”

Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity—Fox’s entire primetime lineup—have spent the past couple of days going after anyone of the left who has even suggested Trump may have done something wrong. “We will hold every liar, every propagandist, every conspiracy theorist accountable!” Hannity told viewers with no sense of irony.

“Whoa, Sean Hannity, pump the brakes,” Noah replied. “If you got rid of all the conspiracy theorists, propagandists and liars, Fox News would just be a bunch of empty couches and a sexual-harassment settlement.”

Insisting that he’s not saying “nobody on the left got the collusion thing wrong,” Noah added, “but these people don’t get to say shit about conspiracy theories and political lies.” He said that was especially true for Hannity, who repeatedly pushed the unfounded theory that DNC staffer Seth Rich was murdered for conspiring with WikiLeaks.

“In fact, that man’s family had to beg Sean Hannity to stop,” Noah said. “So forget glass houses. These people are in a glass mansion with a stone-powered AR-15.”
