Dallas Removes Robert E. Lee Statue From Park

Dallas officials quietly removed a statue of Confederate general Robert E. Lee from the city's Lee Park on Thursday. The removal, which was unannounced, followed a September 6 city council vote to take down the statue. A pro-Confederacy group briefly stalled the removal by obtaining a court stay after the vote.
