High winds swept the Midwest and Northeast over the weekend, leaving at least two people dead and 370,000 residents from Wisconsin to Maine without power by Sunday morning, officials said. Two people were killed after a tree fell on a small car in Abington, Massachusetts, where wind gusts reached up to 60 mph. Abington Fire Chief John Nuttall said the victims were taken to a hospital, but didn’t survive. About 82,000 customers in Pennsylvania were without power while at least nine injuries were reported in wind-related incidents, but none of them were life-threatening.
