Does this mean the 2012 Olympics are going to begin with a Bollywood dance sequence? Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle has been tapped to direct the opening ceremony for the 2012 London Olympics. And, even though he has already said it will not be on the same massive scale as Beijing’s opening ceremony, he said that it would provide a "genuine and personal welcome." Boyle has lived in the section of east London where the games will be held and said that he jumped at the chance to organize the show. He has not offered many hints as to what will be included when he begins working on the show early next year, though he specified "zombies would not be running around on stage." The budget for the program, which is set to take place in the 80,000-seat main stadium, is approximately $60 million.
