Daphne Guinness Buys Blow Collection

Iconic Fashion

Would have been sold by Christie’s in the fall.

Daphne Guinness will soon own even more of Alexander McQueen’s iconic pieces: The heiress, a longtime friend of the late designer, has purchased Isabella Blow’s entire wardrobe, which was set to go on the block at Christie’s in September. Blow’s collection consists of 90 outfits, which include pieces by McQueen, Philip Treacy, and John Galliano. According to The New York Times, Guinness said of the collection: “Like any artist, it should not be dispersed, but remain as a monument with people having access to it.”
