Landing on his feet: Dave Weigel, the blogger who covered the Tea Party for The Washington Post until the publication of his private emails criticizing some movement figures forced his resignation last week, has been hired by MSNBC as a paid contributor. The move was announced at the end of Countdown with Keith Olbermann Monday night. “Welcome Dave…and you thought last week was fun, wait until you see what this week holds for you,” Olbermann said before Weigel’s segment about Tea-Party candidate Rick Barber. Weigel’s new gig is exclusive to the network.
