D.C. will officially turn to a barren wasteland this weekend as officials announced Thursday that all Metro service will be suspended this weekend due to the impending blizzard-level storm. Meteorologists have predicted that "Winter Storm Jonas," as it's been dubbed by the media, will bring between 18 to 28 inches of snow across the nation's capital, starting Friday afternoon. A smaller snow storm hit the region Wednesday evening, leaving an inch of snow and icy roads that created traffic havoc for the already congested capitol area.
