Congratulations, D.C.: The Senate has passed a bill giving you a full voting member in the House of Representatives. Stipulation? An amendment was attached that strips most of D.C.’s local gun control laws. The House is expected to pass its own version of the bill next week, and President Obama has said he will sign it into law. Supporters of the bill are hoping that during House and Senate negotiations, the gun amendment will be removed.
