After 16 years among the dead, Thomas Steven Sanders is finally going to jail. Sanders, who is accused of kidnapping and murdering 12-year-old Lexi Roberts in Las Vegas, had been living a lie since 1994, when his family declared him legally dead. He has since been on the lam, often changing his appearance. But he was spotted two months ago at a Las Vegas Walmart purchasing bullets that were found to match the gun used to kill Roberts. The FBI said in a statement that Sanders “has ties to several states.” He was finally nabbed at a truck stop in Mississippi.
