Storms in Illinois left at least five dead and 37 injured when the severe weather tore through Washington County and Peoria on Sunday. "It was complete destruction," one resident described. "There are people in the streets crying." Chicago was spared, but more than 60 tornadoes were reported in the area. By mid-afternoon, the National Weather Service warnings expired for the Chicago area, but tornado and flash flood warnings remained. Earlier, winds up to 70-mph were reported and Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears, was evacuated and the Bears-Ravens game was postponed.
