Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 2 opened to $125 million domestically this weekend, bumping fellow superhero flick Avengers: Infinity War from the top spot in theaters. The R-rated superhero comedy sequel raked in $176 million overseas, winning the biggest foreign debut ever for an R-rated movie. With a global haul of $301 million, the film claimed the third-best domestic opening of the year, behind Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. After three weekends at the top, Infinity War slid to second place, though it topped $1.81 billion globally to become the highest grossing superhero film of all time. The female-led comedy Book Club, starring Diane Keaton and Jane Fonda, took third place with $12.5 million.
