Carrie Fisher’s half-sister Joely Fisher said Tuesday that she knew Debbie Reynolds “would not last” without her actress-writer daughter. In a tearful joint interview on Good Morning America, Joely and sister Tricia Fisher, the daughters of the late Eddie Fisher, spoke about the trauma of losing Carrie and Debbie in the space of a few days. Carrie Fisher died Dec. 27 at the age of 60, and one day after Carrie Fisher’s death, Reynolds died after suffering a stroke. Carrie’s last few days were spent in hospital after she went into cardiac arrest while on an airplane from London to Los Angles. “I knew that if Carrie wasn’t going to survive this, that Debbie would not. You knew it,” Joely said, “You could see it in her face. She would not last without [Carrie] on the planet.”
