An Army parachutist died after he was injured while performing a stunt at the Chicago Air & Water Show, the Cook County medical examiner said Sunday. Cory Hood, 32, was taken to the hospital on Saturday where he was in critical condition and later died. Hood, a member of the Army Golden Knights parachute team, was performing a stunt with other Golden Knights and Navy Leap Frog parachutists when he collided with another man. The second man injured, a member of the Navy Leap Frogs, was treated for a broken leg, according to Golden Knights spokesperson Donna Dixon. Witnesses told the Chicago Tribune they saw one of the men clip a building, but fire officials could not confirm the reports.
