Better late than never. At a White House ceremony on Tuesday, President Obama awarded 24 veterans from World War II, the Korea War, and Vietnam War with the Congressional Medal of Honor. These late additions come after Congress mandated a review of veterans from Jewish or Hispanic heritage that may have been wrongfully denied their award due to prejudice. Only three combat honorees are alive to accept their award.
