Former NBA star Dennis Rodman will visit Singapore during the upcoming summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, and “could even play some sort of role in the negotiations,” according to the New York Post. In recent years, Rodman has visited North Korea five times and formed an unusual relationship with the leader. He has defended Kim to the American press, and once said that the world would see a different side of Kim “if you actually talk to him,” according to the Chicago Tribune. A representative for Rodman told the Post that, “He’s talked about [attending the summit], but no final trip or plans have been made.” The summit, with or without Rodman, will take place on June 12 in a luxury resort on Singapore’s Sentosa Island.
