Four Denver police officer on bicycles were injured, one of them critically, after a driver struck them with his car during a Ferguson protest on Wednesday. Police were escorting students at East High School who walked out of class in solidarity with Ferguson protests throughout the country. Witness Jerald Adams told the Denver Post he saw a black Mercedes drive up onto the sidewalk and “it appeared the driver was targeting the officers.” The driver is in custody.
