It’s the 23-year-old Ethiopian’s second major victory, having already won the Dubai Marathon in his 26.2-mile debut. “The race was just fine for me,” was Desisa’s assessment. “The downhill was easy, but the uphill was very hard.” On the women’s side, Kenya’s Rita Jeptoo came in first, finishing in 2:26.25.
